This mural explores the musical life of Eddie Lang, Father of Jazz Guitar. It also celebrates the Italian American heritage of Lang and the South Philadelphia neighborhood where the mural is located by copying the color palette and lighting of Italian painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio.
